Guided Maldon Town Tour & Shopping Adventure
Experience Description:
Experience a guided town tour with Sandy Creek Clydesdales Maldon as you immerse yourself in the history and beauty of Maldon. Start the day by being greeted by our Clydesdales and beautiful carriage, ready to start a relaxing trip into town and ending with a tour of our stud meeting the other animals and Clydesdales.
What to Expect:
You will be escorted into town with stops along the way at all of the wonderful places Maldon has to offer. Starting with the Maldon Machinery Museum where you can view a vast variety of historic pieces from the Gold era, to printings presses, blacksmithing, a dairy display, pumps, trucks, tractors, a fire shed, engines.. the list goes on. After indulging in some history, we will head to the Victorian Gold Fields Railway Station for a look around at their beautiful setup, hopefully seeing a steam train in action! Then, we will head into the main street where you will be dropped off to explore the many boutiques Maldon has to offer, not forgetting the many delicious eateries! Visit the Christmas Shop, The Lolly Shop, Ice Cream Shop, and many more beautiful boutiques. After spending some time in town, we will meet again to head back to Sandy Creek to view all of the other animals and Clydesdales to conclude your Clydesdale Adventure.
Itinerary:
The itinerary is flexible, but the approximate times are given to give you an idea of the day. You are here to enjoy the day!
- 10:00am: Arrive at Sandy Creek to commence our journey into town
- 10:30am: Arrive at Maldon Machinery Museum
- 11:30pm: Head up to Steam Train and the 'Beehive'
- 12:00pm: Head into town to do some shopping and much-needed lunch!
- 2:00pm: Meet up again to head back to Sandy Creek Clydesdales
- 2:30pm: Clydesdale Adventure concludes

Duration: Allow approximately 4.5 hours
Pricing:
- Groups of 4 - 10: White carriage pulled by 2 horses OR Blue Tram depending on group size - $700 for group up to 10
- Groups of 1 - 3: White carriage pulled by 1 horse (multiple small groups may be put together into a larger vehicle if enough bookings are made) - $450 for group up to 3
